A whole week and no blog! Tsk tsk! You can shake a stick at me but, what can I say, I've had a action packed, fun-filled, exciting week! I was actually at home last weekend but without internet and figured I'd update Monday once I got to San Diego but the week has been filled with lots of fun along with lots of work, very little sleep and having a besttie in town. So here's a quick briefing of my week.
I had this as a snack at the airport. I got a lot of weird looks. :-)
My flight was delayed for an hour so I ended up getting this as well. An everything bagel with low-fat veggie spread and diet Snapple.
Breakfast this week has usually looked something like this... There have been many, many Skinny Vanilla Lattes this week!
Unless it was this mornings, in which case, breakfast looked like this. :-)
Lunches have been a bit of everything. We has Tin Fish one day. Grilled salmon and swordfish tacos. Yum!
There has also been a turkey, bacon, avocado and jack sandwich from the Cheese Shop, a corn dog and yesterdays Thai Chicken salad. I'm not sure what part of this salad exactly was "Thai", but it was good!
Evenings have been jam packed with lots of cocktails. One of my best friends came down from LA so we were out late every night!
We had many skinny margaritas (tequila, soda, and fresh lime juice) and we snacked on these: Chips & guacamole and shared a Surf & Turf burrito at La Puerta.
Following night we had pre-Padres cocktails rooftop at the Marriott.
Then we actually headed over to the game.
We had these snacks while at the game; peanuts, super nachos, and beer (of course)!
As I've said before, I'll never say everything I eat is 100% healthy. I'm a real person and just try to balance and find moderation in my life. Nachos and beer are basically necessities at ball games. ;-)
To balance out my poorer choices of the week last night I made this delicious salad and headed back to my hotel room early for some much needed sleep.
My salad had a bed of lettuce, green peas, onions, and was topped with several different things. It had some tabouli, fresh tomato & mozzarella, shrimp & peanut pasta, dill-orzo salad, and marinated cucumbers & feta. This was a delicious $15 salad until about 20 minutes after I finished it and got sick and everything came up. :-( Not sure what it was, but something didn't agree with my tummy.
Anyway, after an action packed week, I finally caught up and got 13 hours of sleep last night! Now I'm headed back over to the convention center for work! Hope you haven't missed me too much while I was gone!

Do as I say, Not as I do...
It's been one of those kinds of weeks. The ones where you are going non-stop, eating out every night, drinking entirely too much. Not only am I exhausted but my body has been screaming STOOOOOOOOOOP! I would guess this is not the way most people who are running a half marathon on Saturday would prepare. But who knows, maybe I've stumbled onto a new thing! Hahahahaha!
Newsies!
I don't have much to write today, so how about some interesting articles I've come across this week!
Lunch was left over tofu stirfry over quinoa. I froze the remains of last weeks dinner so I could heat it up at work when I don't have time for a lunch break. It looked a little better when I served it last week.
Last night after work I went to the Dodgers vs. Reds game here in Vegas! I had this banana as I was driving to meet friends (note I was at a complete stop while I was waiting for the gate to open before taking the pic!)
The pool weather we had Monday has gone out the door, instead we had chilly high winds and sprinkling rain. Bikini back to down coats and Uggs. Brrrrrrrr!
I had this giant pretzel with artficial cheese. I big heart artificial cheese, although I rarely eat it. It holds a special place in my heart right next to bacon. I also had one beer and then a glass of wine (because it was too cold to drink beer) before we decided it was entirely too cold to be watching baseball, especially when the Dodgers were really just not playing. I'm serious people. They just let balls fall to their feet and hit the ground.
We decided to hit up some karaoke instead. Go Tiff! Go Tiff! Work the room!
I had 3 more beers and we shared this sampler of fried crap. I think I had a bite of each; a chicken tender, a fried mozzarella, a fried ravioli, an onion ring (or two), a chicken wing and couple french fries. Fried, fried, fried. I'll gladly report we probably left at least half of it untouched.
Between the drinking, lack of sleeping and extremely poor eating, ohhh my body hates me right now...
So I started off the morning right again, besides the no sleep part. Half cup plain yogurt, raspberries, and heaping tablespoon of flax seed.
Healthy eating starts again today! As I've said before, just because you fall off the healthy eating wagon doesn't mean you can jump right back on it!

- A recent study shows a commonly used pesticide known as atrazine can turn male frogs into females that are successfully able to reproduce
- Agave, known as a "healthy" sugar alternative, may actually be worse for you than High Fructose Corn Syrup
- Social Responsibility Boosts Brand Perception - 70% of consumers are willing to pay a premium for products from socially responsible companies
