Shirataki Noodles Italian Style

Love pasta but not the carbs? Love eating more but consuming less calories? Then Shirataki noodles might be your new best friend! Don't let the tofu in the name scare you away from this delicious product.

Shirataki noodles are made of tofu and yam flour but taste like your favorite delicious pasta dishes! Give these noodles a shot because they will change your pasta eating life. They can be prepared in stir fries, pasta, soups, salads or any of your favorite ways to eat pasta. Best part is they are very low in calories and extremely high in fiber! Plus they are ready to eat in under 2 minutes. Now how can you beat that!

Shirataki noodles are located in the refrigerated section of your grocery store next to the tofu. I found these noodles at Whole Foods. I used mine to make an Italian style pasta.

Prepare noodle to package directions. In a separate pan sauté some frozen eggplant, zucchini, and spinach. Place veggies over cooked noodles and top with a chunky tomato sauce, cheese, and fresh basil.

Enjoy!
